What is Water Migitation?
Water Mitigation is the process of preventing further damage by removing water and drying the affected area. This process involves removing water and drying all of the affected areas. Industrial Dehumidifiers and High Velocity Fans or Air Movers are used remove all of the moisture from the affected areas.
Depending on the severity of the water damage, this process may also involve removing wet parts of the structure like flooring and drywall to allow for proper drying of the affected area and prevent further damage to the structure.
What is Water Damage Restoration?
While Water Damage Mitigation’s purpose is to prevent further damage, Water Damage Restoration is the process of repairing and restoring the structure to it’s pre-loss condition. This is the part of the process that includes, but is not limited to, things like replacing drywall and flooring that have been torn out due to water.
