Omnicon was there from the start of our house fire. They came out and boarded up our home the night of the fire. They let us know that they also deal with the rebuilding side as well. We were never pressured into going with them, after our research that's just the route we decided to take. Joe was our GC and he couldn't have been better to work with. He was always up front about the process, the time it may take, and what he needed from us. There was never really a time he was unavailable when we had questions or concerns. At Omnicon Inc, our number one goal is always to ease the hardship associated with experiencing a house fire. We break up the fire restoration process into three important steps.

1. Securing your family and your home

First and foremost, it is important to make sure that your family and yourself are taken care of. Most importantly, tend to your family members, hydrate, and breathe easy. Second, make sure that your home is secured. 

Securing your home to prevent further damage is an important step in the fire restoration process. This includes:

  • Boarding up the structure after an incident to secure the property from weather, animals, and other unwanted visitors. All penetrations in the structure should be covered, debris removed, and the structure should be made weather-tight and secure. 
  • Removing valuables from the home; such as jewelry, antiques, important documents, and other important items. 
  • Coordinating short-term housing until long-term accomodations can be secured. 
  • Filing an insurance claim with your insurance carrier. 

2. personal property and housing

  • You will work with your insurance carrier to secure long-term accommodations for the duration of your home restoration project.
  • We will work with you to inventory and photograph your pesonal property, or all the items inside your home. These items will be packed up and moved to our secure location for storage for the duration of your project.
  • Any items that cannot be salvaged will be photographed and inventoried by our team. 
  • It is important to keep all receipts for items purchased to replace the items that you lost because of the fire. Your insurance carrier will want this documentation. 

3. Restoring your home

  • We will work directly with your insurance carrier to create a comprehensive repairs estimate.
  • Your Project Manager will meet with you to go over the plan of action.
  • We will restore your home to its pre-loss condition.
